This app is an essential tool for electrical power systems engineers especially substation protection and control engineers. It is about the transformer differential protection relays on electrical power systems and transformer short circuit current calculations on electrical power systems.

In this app, enter the transformer information like MVA, transformer ratio, vector group and short circuit impedance of transformer, and the app calculates the short circuit currents of high voltage side and low voltage side.

You also can enter the setting of the transformer differential protection relay, and the app plots the stability characteristic of the transformer differential protection relay.

In the next step you can apply the type of fault, single-phase and two-phase and three-phase faults in the In Zone and Out Zone areas on the primary or secondary side of the transformer and you get the faults currents in each phase for each side of the transformer.

Also, the passing currents from primary and secondary side CTs can be calculated.

This app calculates the secondary currents of CTs and matching CTs for calculations of Idiff and Ibias for each phase, and the trip points are plotted on the stability characteristic of the differential relay, and you can easily see the performance of the transformer differential protection relay.

This app calculates the zero sequence compensation in two ways, by the tertiary winding or measuring neutral current.
